Having always been told she had a good voice for serious or humorous voice-over work, retired speech teacher Anna Jordan Hicks is providing a fresh new voice in the voice talent industry.  

Before her teaching career began, Anna earned a B.A. in English and a Masters in journalism before working as a TV news field reporter in Pittsburgh.  Having been told that her voice was an asset, Anna spent 16 months there before returning to Chicago.

Landing a job with a radio station, she began writing and reading editorials on the air.  Because of her passion for sports, she hoped to gain some work in the sports department but the early 70's had not opened up a place for women in sports reporting.  Eventually marrying, she started a family and a career in teaching.

With a past history of on air experience, the move to now do voice-over work was an obvious one.  Formally trained in voice-over techniques and specializing in both commercials and narration, she is enjoying her experience as a voice talent and is eager to contribute her unique voice to your projects.
